Is this the first must miss movie of the year?
Looks like Erik Estrada might not be a big fan of the upcoming “CHIPS” movie.
Estrada, who played Officer Frank “Ponch” Poncherello on the original NBC series, devoted a portion of his Monday sharing tweets that tore into the upcoming big-screen adaptation.
One tweet which Estrada shared with his 24,000 followers criticized the film for the footage of gunplay contained in the recently released trailer.
@robbyynnnnnn @ErikEstrada @LarryDWilcox saw the trailer the other day…PURE TRASH…remember(not 100%sure) real CHiPs NEVER drew their gun

Actor Larry Wilcox has similar opinions to Erik Estrada about the upcoming movie reboot of his TV series “CHiPs.”
The 69-year-old starred in the 1970s traffic cop drama as Jon Baker, the role taken on by Dax Shepard in the movie version. The trailer for the film, which also stars Michael Pena as Frank ‘Ponch’ Poncherello, the part previously played by Erik Estrada in the program, was made public on Thursday, but not everyone was pleased with how it looked.
Way to go Warner Bros – just ruined the Brand of CHIPS and of the Calif Highway Patrol. Great choice!

Watch the trailer below and see if this movie is a must watch or a must miss. Is it worthy of the Chips branding?
