Rob Zombie’s two “Halloween” movies have more than their fair share of ardent supporters, frequently making the cut on lists of the best horror movies made since the year 2000. John Carpenter, it would seem, is not one of them. The original “Halloween” creator, while speaking to students at the New York Film Academy, expressed an unfavorable view of Zombie’s take on Michael Myers — and on Zombie himself, according to Wicked Horror.
