Stan Lee’s Indian superhero property Chakra The Invincible will expand further with three new animated television movies announced on Friday.
Lee’s POW! Entertainment, Time Warner’s Turner International and Graphic India first partnered on the Chakra The Invincible TV movie, which premiered on Turner’s Cartoon Network India channel in 2013.
The franchise revolves around Raju Rai, a young Indian boy living in Mumbai whose mentor, the scientist Dr. Singh, develops a technology suit that activates the mystical chakras of the body giving the boy a range of superpowers, thus giving him the name Chakra. The next movie will premiere later this year, with the third slated for early 2017.
