Just to be clear: Julia’s father was billionaire poet William Louis-Dreyfus – not Academy Award-winning Jaws and Mr Holland’s Opus actor Richard Dreyfuss. Note the extra ‘s’ in Richard’s surname.

Trying to clear up the confusion on Twitter, the very gracious Richard Dreyfuss tweeted: “I’m actually not Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ father. But I really appreciate all the concerned tweets.”
